Size Guide: Overview

Shopping online can be frustrating when it comes to finding the perfect fitting clothing piece or accessory. At shopAKIRA.com, accurate measurements and fit are important in order for our customer to find the perfect item.

The size charts are general guidelines for average measurements. Sizes will vary depending on designer, cut, style and fabrication. Most of our clothing will fit true to size unless otherwise noted. Our models are on average of 5'9 - 5'10 and wear a size small, size 2 - 4.

Please note that many of the AKIRA labeled dresses lean toward a body conscious fit.

Size Guide: Shoes

Shoe size may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Fit is tested using size 8-8.5 shoe. Recommendations to order smaller or larger shoe will be visible on description (e.g., "runs narrow; order 1/2 size up.")

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE LENGTH: Place ruler on the ground, perpendicular to the wall, so the '0' is against the wall. In bare feet, step on the ruler, with the back of your heel against the wall. The measurement taken at the longest part of your foot determines your shoe size.

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE WIDTH: With the ruler in the same position, step with your bare foot onto the ruler - this time with the outside of your foot touching the wall. The measurement taken at the widest part of your foot determines your shoe width.

HOW TO MEASURE HEEL HEIGHT: We measure from a size 8-8.5 shoe and will vary slightly depending on the size you order. The heel is measured up the center back of the heel to where it meets the sole. All measurements are approximate and rounded down to the nearest quarter inch.

I regret this purchase.

If I paid full price for these shoes I would be lobbying for a refund. However, because they were "final sale" I won't waste my time. The shoes look great, but like someone above said there are a lot of manufacturing issues. However, unlike the other commenters I do not have the time to take shoes to a cobbler and basically turn what should be a ready-to-wear purchase into an art school project. The feathers are a mess. The shoes themselves (straps, color, feel) seem great. But the feathers (let's be real, that's why we bought the shoes) are facing different directions and do not even stay up when I put them on. I'm scared that if I try to adjust them too much they'll just fall off. I bought these shoes to wear them, but it seems like they'll just collect dust.

Fire!!

I haven't wore these fabulous heels yet but when I do, I'm sure all eyes will be on Ms Chidoll!! I tried them on & it was love at first sight!! I'm very pleased with this purchase.

gorgeous but a lot of manufacturer faults

Gorgeous heels but the heel broke off when i tried it because the nails to hold the heel to sole were too short, so i carried to a cobbler to fix, 2 of feathers came broken , and the feathers, one side was fluffier than the other. but once i fixed the heel and feathers the shoe was good to go!

Be prepared for all eyes on you
