Application Developer
We are looking for an app developer that can be part of a team looking to pioneer the retail industry by leveraging Technology. This person would be part of a team who is leading AKIRA into a full technological transformation in areas including but not limited to AI, Data Analytics and IoT. We are seeking a candidate who is interested in learning both web and mobile app development. Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications that support business units or support functions in the store environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs. Awareness of business or function for which application is designed. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned problems. May require some guidance on more complex projects.
Required Skills:
- 2 years experience
- PHP, CSS, Java, PHP, HTML, and JavaScript
- Linux knowledge
- Experience integrating systems through Rest or Soap APIs
- Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
The Ideal Candidate:
- SQL Server, SQL, and relational database design experience
- Experience maintaining a Windows Server production environment
- Experience in the administration of Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies
- UX/UI/E
- BS or equivalent degree in computer science
- iOS / Swift and Objective C - iOS development platform for developing native iPhone and iPad applications
- Experience integrating systems through Rest or Soap APIs
- AWS - Angular front-end, Node.js backend, utilizing AWS microservices such as Lambda, Cognito and API Gateway
- Understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Knowledge/Experience with Snowflake and Matillion is a plus
