Akira is looking for a high potential leader, who is ready to own their impact on Akira operations as an Operations Supervisor. The Position

Warehouse and Distribution Shift Manager

Bolingbrook, IL

or

Los Angeles, CA

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Coach, manage, and develop a team of 25-100 associates
  • Communicate policies to your team and act as the primary information source for the team- maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Create daily shift plans and execute shift operations
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working environment
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies required to fill foreseeable needs
  • Complete all necessary administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Work overtime depending on business needs
  • Inspire and lead a wide variety of employees to work together for the same result

 

Minimum Qualifications/Characteristics:

  • 3+ years as a Warehouse/Distribution/Operations Manager/Shift Supervisor, managing 20+ employees
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Adept at the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Ability to analyze and dive deep into data to provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills - ability to inspire and have difficult conversations
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Painstaking attention to detail - ability to spot potential issues and create systems to prevent them
  • Flexibility - comfort with change in process, requirements, or schedule
  • Very strong work ethic - ability to lead by example
