Inventory Operations Analyst

Overview

 

The ideal candidate has a natural curiosity and passion for compiling, analyzing, and leveraging data to improve process efficiency and inform business decisions. With a strong focus on fulfillment and distribution, we are seeking someone driven to understand data in regards to inventory operations and leverage that knowledge to progress our organization. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Within current reporting: scrutinize data sets for accuracy, analyze, and identify patterns, synthesize into suggestions and presentations for key stakeholders 
  • Gather and develop new data sets and build related reports to solve known problems and drive KPIs
  • Develop and roll out training associated with new reports that are end-user focused
  • Active and ongoing communication with departments utilizing new reports
  • Iterate tools and reports by integrating feedback
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and report findings to decision-makers
  • Run, scrutinize, and disseminate daily business reports

 

Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum experience in similar position in retail or adjacent industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, special consideration given to mathematics/statistics-focused specialization
  • Mastery of excel/google sheets, competency with Microsoft suite including PowerBI and Visio
  • Proven analytical experience within inventory operations 
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically as it pertains to explaining data in non-technical terms
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting findings
  • Experience with data visualization
  • Able to elicit and integrate feedback from end-users
  • Familiarity with cost-benefit analysis
  • Experience with Google analytics
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated and passionate about identifying inefficiencies and implementing strategic initiatives
