Size Guide: Overview

Shopping online can be frustrating when it comes to finding the perfect fitting clothing piece or accessory. At shopAKIRA.com, accurate measurements and fit are important in order for our customer to find the perfect item.

The size charts are general guidelines for average measurements. Sizes will vary depending on designer, cut, style and fabrication. Most of our clothing will fit true to size unless otherwise noted. Our models are on average of 5'9 - 5'10 and wear a size small, size 2 - 4.

Please note that many of the AKIRA labeled dresses lean toward a body conscious fit.

Size Guide: Shoes

Shoe size may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Fit is tested using size 8-8.5 shoe. Recommendations to order smaller or larger shoe will be visible on description (e.g., "runs narrow; order 1/2 size up.")

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE LENGTH: Place ruler on the ground, perpendicular to the wall, so the '0' is against the wall. In bare feet, step on the ruler, with the back of your heel against the wall. The measurement taken at the longest part of your foot determines your shoe size.

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE WIDTH: With the ruler in the same position, step with your bare foot onto the ruler - this time with the outside of your foot touching the wall. The measurement taken at the widest part of your foot determines your shoe width.

HOW TO MEASURE HEEL HEIGHT: We measure from a size 8-8.5 shoe and will vary slightly depending on the size you order. The heel is measured up the center back of the heel to where it meets the sole. All measurements are approximate and rounded down to the nearest quarter inch.

Shine bright like a diamond!!

This jacket is not for the insecure.. it’s a show stopper for a true fashionista. You will feel like a celebrity in this for sure. I had my eyes on it for a while n decided to just get it. I’m so glad I did. The quality is way better than I expected. It’s heavy n the inside lining is fleece... I was thinking more of a nylon. It’s top quality material n the pics do no justice. This jacket is the business in real life. I live in The Bronx n I cannot wait to wear it. Oh n it has pockets. I’m 5’7 140 lbs, slim athletic build. I like a large sometimes because of my broad shoulder ( n I hate a tight fit) however this is over size so the S/M fit perfect, a larger would have swallowed me up. Also the zipper zips all the way up to the top of the hood, interesting feature. Overall this jacket is so dope, I’m so happy I finally got it.

I like it a lot!

I like it so much. It’s definitely a show stopper for sure. I’m normally in between a small and medium and the jacket fits good. If you normally fit a large and want something to fit like a regular jacket get a s/m. It’s an oversize jacket. It zips all the way over the face too. Can’t go wrong with this. And shipping don’t take long either. The longest due to the holidays is 10 days.
