WHAT IS AKIRA REWARDS?
AKIRA Rewards is a loyalty program rewarding our customers with special discounts and other opportunities. (also known as AKIRA Exclusive)
Points are earned through qualifying purchases made on shopAKIRA.com or in our physical stores. Once a point threshold is reached, you will receive a reward to be applied to your next qualifying purchase.
HOW DOES AKIRA REWARDS WORK?
You earn one point for every qualifying dollar you spend. Points are not earned on tax, shipping, gift cards, and select special items.
Once your program balance reaches 500 points, AKIRA automatically converts 500 points into a $10 reward following a brief waiting period. The reward can be applied toward your next qualifying purchase in store or online.
Your $10 reward must be used in one single transaction. Your subtotal when redeeming your rewards must have a minimum of $10 in order to apply the reward.

Where can I earn/redeem AKIRA Rewards points?
You can earn and redeem points through our online store, www.shopAKIRA.com, or at any of our 30+ physical store locations. To find a store near you, visit www.shopakira.com/store-locator.
At what rate do I earn points on my purchases?
Rewards members earn 1 point per every $1 spent, excluding dollars spent on tax, shipping, gift cards, or select special items.
How much does it cost?
It’s absolutely free to enroll.
Can I retroactively add points from previous purchases when I was not enrolled in the current AKIRA REWARDS?
No. You can only receive points from purchases made while enrolled in this program.
How do I enroll?
Log into your online account or create an account if you don’t have one. Go to your Account Dashboard, and on the left navigation you will find a link to My Rewards. Once on the AKIRA Rewards dashboard, hit “Subscribe.” You are now enrolled. When in our store locations ask your stylist or cashier about enrollment. Enrollment is easy and free. It only takes a minute and only requires an email address and phone number.
How do I opt out or cancel?
Go to the Rewards dashboard where you originally subscribed and hit “Unsubscribe.” When in our stores, ask your cashier to remove your enrollment in AKIRA REWARDS.
Do my points and/or rewards expire?
Your points balance expires if you go 365 days without a purchase.
Rewards expire 365 days after issuance if not used.
How do I check my Points and Rewards balances?
You can find this information after logging into your shopAKIRA account and navigating to your account dashboard under “My Rewards.”
How many points do I need to earn my discount, and how do I redeem the rewards?
Every 500 points will earn you a $10 reward on your next qualifying purchase. Points convert to rewards after a short waiting period. Once rewards are earned, you have the option to apply your reward during checkout online or in-store.
If I return any items that were purchased with an AKIRA reward, do I get my rewards and points back?
Rewards are returned to the customer. Points earned for a purchase are deducted when a return is processed.
Is there a limit to the amount of points/rewards I can earn?
No, the sky's the limit! We do encourage you to spend your rewards as you earn them as opposed to allowing them to accumulate, as reward terms may be subject to change.
Can I transfer my points to my friends and family?
No, points and rewards discounts are automatically linked to your customer account and are not transferable.
AKIRA REWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms govern your membership in the AKIRA REWARDS. Please read these terms carefully. By enrolling in the AKIRA REWARDS, you agree to be bound by these terms, as well as the other rules, policies, and procedures of the AKIRA REWARDS. If you do not agree to any or all of these terms, do not enroll in the AKIRA REWARDS. If you disagree with any changes to these terms, please cancel your AKIRA REWARDS membership.
JOINING THE AKIRA REWARDS
You can join the AKIRA REWARDS by visiting shopAKIRA.com/rewards and clicking “Sign Up” or by logging into your account and going to the shopAKIRA.com Rewards dashboard and clicking “Subscribe.” If in our physical stores your stylist or cashier can assist you in joining the program. An active account is required to sign up for the AKIRA REWARDS. AKIRA will not sell your information to 3rd party vendors.
EARNING POINTS
To earn points while shopping online at shopAKIRA.com, you must have or create an account on shopAKIRA.com and must subscribe to AKIRA Rewards through your account dashboard. You must be logged into your shopAKIRA.com account while making an online purchase in order to earn points for your purchase. You can earn points by shopping on shopAKIRA.com or at our physical locations, and your points are earned based on the amount of your qualifying subtotal. Tax, shipping, and other fees do not apply toward your points.
One point is awarded for each qualifying pre-tax, pre-shipping dollar spent.
From time to time, AKIRA may change the rate of points awarded per dollar spent, or reward members with additional points for promotional purposes. AKIRA reserves the right to do so at any time.
Points you earn will be held in a "pending" status for 24 hours. The points will be active in your account and if they reach a threshold for rewards, you will be provided the option to apply your rewards amount onto your next qualifying order.
Certain purchases do not qualify for earning points. Gift card purchases are not eligible to earn points. Certain styles (including tax exempt sales, certain sale items, and specialty items) may also be ineligible for earning points. AKIRA may revise these exclusions from time to time.
If you return a purchase for a refund, the points originally earned for that purchase will be subtracted from your total points.
Only one membership account may be used in connection with a purchase. Points will only be posted to one account per person. AKIRA cannot transfer points between customer accounts.
Points are subject to change at any time at AKIRA's sole discretion. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards. Points are not transferable. Additional terms and conditions and restrictions may apply, without notice, at AKIRA's discretion.
TURNING POINTS INTO REWARDS
Points are automatically transferred into rewards, following the shipment period for online purchases, and/or following a short escrow period for conversion, and after an account has reached the point threshold to earn rewards.
Rewards are converted at a rate of $10 discount per 500 points, and redeemed in $10 increments.
Rewards, including redemption rates and value, are subject to change at any time at AKIRA's discretion.
REDEEMING REWARDS
The rewards are applied to the tender portion of your transaction. Simply apply the available rewards on the cart page, or inform your cashier in-store that you would like to apply your AKIRA Rewards to your purchase. The reward value redeemed will be deducted from your account. Certain items may be excluded from reward redemption, including non-discountable styles and gift cards.
For online purchases you must be logged into your account to earn and/or redeem rewards. In-store, you would need to provide your cashier with your account information in order to earn points and redeem rewards.
Your cart’s subtotal must have a minimum of $10 to apply your $10 reward.
Once a reward has been used, any discount portion of the sale is final. No rewards will be refunded back to a customer's account, at any time. If a customer makes a return or exchange on a purchase in which a reward has been applied, they will only receive a refund for the post-discount purchase and the value of the reward will be forfeited.
Rewards are subject to change at any time. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards. Rewards are not transferable. Additional terms and conditions and restrictions may apply, without notice, at AKIRA's discretion.
CONTACTING YOU
From time to time, AKIRA may contact you with information about the AKIRA REWARDS program and other offers and information that we think may interest you. By becoming a member of the AKIRA REWARDS, you agree to receive advertising, marketing materials, and other communications from AKIRA and its related parties. AKIRA will not sell your information to any third parties. You may opt out from receiving marketing communications from AKIRA at any time. To do so, click on the unsubscribe link in the bottom of any marketing email and complete the opt-out process or e-mail us at [email protected]. If you opt-out of receiving all emails, you will still be eligible to participate in the AKIRA REWARDS, however you will not receive AKIRA REWARDS communications via email about offers and promotions within the AKIRA REWARDS program.
PRIVACY
Except as otherwise provided in these terms, AKIRA's Privacy Policy will apply to information you provide through the AKIRA REWARDS. CANCELING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may cancel your AKIRA REWARDS account at any time by going to your shopAKIRA.com Rewards dashboard and clicking “unsubscribe.” AKIRA reserves the right to terminate your AKIRA REWARDS account, and void any points accumulated in such account(s), if you, at AKIRA's sole discretion, violate any of these terms or any applicable law, earn points by deception, forgery, or fraud, or commit any other abuse of the AKIRA REWARDS. Once your account is canceled or terminated, all of your points and rewards will be forfeited.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
AKIRA reserves the right, without limitation, to terminate, change, limit, modify, or cancel all or any part of the AKIRA REWARDS terms, conditions, rules, regulations, benefits, or points at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of already issued points or other benefits.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be 18 years old or older and a U.S. resident to join the AKIRA REWARDS. By enrolling and participating in the AKIRA REWARDS, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating in the AKIRA REWARDS program, you release Bijora, Inc. (dba AKIRA), and each of its respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, fees, and other expenses (including, without limitation, attorney's fees) arising from or relating to participation in the AKIRA REWARDS program or agreement to these terms.
THE AKIRA REWARDS PROGRAM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AKIRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, WITH RESPECT TO THE SHOPAKIRA.COM REWARDS (INCLUDING THOSE RELATED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT AND THOSE ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE). TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AKIRA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING FOR THE INDIRECT LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, OR DATA) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE AKIRA REWARDS PROGRAM, HOWEVER CAUSED, AND UNDER WHATEVER CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY BROUGHT (INCLUDING UNDER ANY CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER TORT THEORY OF LIABILITY) EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
VENUE AND CHOICE OF LAW
ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE TERMS OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF YOU OR AKIRA IN CONNECTION WITH THE AKIRA REWARDS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE'S LAWS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF ANY DISPUTES HEREUNDER, BY ENROLLING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE AKIRA REWARDS, YOU AGREE THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE AKIRA REWARDS SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION AND YOU CONSENT TO THE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION AND VENUE OF THE APPROPRIATE STATE OR FEDERAL COURT SITUATED IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
ARBITRATION
By enrolling and participating in the AKIRA REWARDS, you agree: (i) that any and all disputes you may have with, or claims you may have against AKIRA relating to, arising out of, or connected in any way with (a) the AKIRA REWARDS, and/or (b) the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS and conducted before a sole arbitrator in accordance with the rules of JAMS; (ii) this arbitration agreement is made pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce, and shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA"), 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-16; (iii) the arbitration shall be held in Cook County, Illinois; (iv) the arbitrator's decision shall be controlled by these terms and any of the other agreements referenced herein that you may have entered into in connection with the AKIRA REWARDS; (v) the arbitrator shall apply Illinois law consistent with the FAA and applicable statutes of limitations, and shall honor claims of privilege recognized at law; (vi) there shall be no authority for any claims to be arbitrated on a class or representative basis, arbitration can decide only your and/or AKIRA's individual claims; the arbitrator may not consolidate or join the claims of other persons or parties who may be similarly situated; (vii) the arbitrator shall not have the power to award punitive damages against you or AKIRA; and (viii) with the exception of subpart (vi) above, if any part of this arbitration provision is deemed to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, or otherwise conflicts with the rules of JAMS, then the balance of this arbitration provision shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid, unenforceable, illegal or conflicting provision were not contained herein. If, however, subpart (vi) is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, then the entirety of this arbitration provision shall be null and void, and neither you nor AKIRA shall be entitled to arbitrate their dispute. MISCELLANEOUS
In all matters relating to the administration of the AKIRA REWARDS program, the decisions of AKIRA shall be final. AKIRA is not responsible for communication problems of any kind relating to AKIRA REWARDS program. Under no circumstances will AKIRA be held liable for any delay or failure in performance due in whole or in part to any acts of nature or other causes beyond its reasonable control. Except as otherwise provided under heading Arbitration, if any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severable from these terms and will not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions. The failure of AKIRA to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not prevent AKIRA from enforcing such right or provision in the future. These terms cannot be modified or amended in any way except in a written document issued in accordance with law by a duly authorized representative of AKIRA. AKIRA may assign its rights and obligations under these terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets or equity, or by operation of law.
