Size Guide: Overview

Shopping online can be frustrating when it comes to finding the perfect fitting clothing piece or accessory. At shopAKIRA.com, accurate measurements and fit are important in order for our customer to find the perfect item.

The size charts are general guidelines for average measurements. Sizes will vary depending on designer, cut, style and fabrication. Most of our clothing will fit true to size unless otherwise noted. Our models are on average of 5'9 - 5'10 and wear a size small, size 2 - 4.

Please note that many of the AKIRA labeled dresses lean toward a body conscious fit.

Size Guide: Shoes

Shoe size may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Fit is tested using size 8-8.5 shoe. Recommendations to order smaller or larger shoe will be visible on description (e.g., "runs narrow; order 1/2 size up.")

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE LENGTH: Place ruler on the ground, perpendicular to the wall, so the '0' is against the wall. In bare feet, step on the ruler, with the back of your heel against the wall. The measurement taken at the longest part of your foot determines your shoe size.

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE WIDTH: With the ruler in the same position, step with your bare foot onto the ruler - this time with the outside of your foot touching the wall. The measurement taken at the widest part of your foot determines your shoe width.

HOW TO MEASURE HEEL HEIGHT: We measure from a size 8-8.5 shoe and will vary slightly depending on the size you order. The heel is measured up the center back of the heel to where it meets the sole. All measurements are approximate and rounded down to the nearest quarter inch.

Sleek

I eyed these booties for months before I got them. They are super sleek, futuristic looking. I could've sworn Akira had a long version of these too, but they must be out of stock.

The photos don't show the heel, which is connected to the front of the shoe. I was worried it would be a detached little heel that I would be wobbling around on, but it's not.

The Never a Bad Idea Boots are super cute and the best dupe for the Givenchy Shark Boots I have seen.
