Size Guide: Overview

Shopping online can be frustrating when it comes to finding the perfect fitting clothing piece or accessory. At shopAKIRA.com, accurate measurements and fit are important in order for our customer to find the perfect item.

The size charts are general guidelines for average measurements. Sizes will vary depending on designer, cut, style and fabrication. Most of our clothing will fit true to size unless otherwise noted. Our models are on average of 5'9 - 5'10 and wear a size small, size 2 - 4.

Please note that many of the AKIRA labeled dresses lean toward a body conscious fit.

Size Guide: Shoes

Shoe size may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Fit is tested using size 8-8.5 shoe. Recommendations to order smaller or larger shoe will be visible on description (e.g., "runs narrow; order 1/2 size up.")

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE LENGTH: Place ruler on the ground, perpendicular to the wall, so the '0' is against the wall. In bare feet, step on the ruler, with the back of your heel against the wall. The measurement taken at the longest part of your foot determines your shoe size.

HOW TO MEASURE SHOE SIZE WIDTH: With the ruler in the same position, step with your bare foot onto the ruler - this time with the outside of your foot touching the wall. The measurement taken at the widest part of your foot determines your shoe width.

HOW TO MEASURE HEEL HEIGHT: We measure from a size 8-8.5 shoe and will vary slightly depending on the size you order. The heel is measured up the center back of the heel to where it meets the sole. All measurements are approximate and rounded down to the nearest quarter inch.

Way too small

Very pretty headband but no type of stretch at all. I didn’t know it would have a magnetic closure with absolutely no stretch and I have a small head. If u have thick hair u can forget about this headband because it will not close and of course non returnable so just donate money to charity instead of buying this. I can’t believe Akira would sale such a small headband. I don’t think it is an adult on this planet whose head is this small. I guess I will give it to my 6 year old for her dolls because she can’t even fit it!

Pretty

Too small

It was too small and I also have a normal sized head. I sewed elastic to the back where the 2 magnets are so that I can still use them.

Fabulous Store with Fabulous Items

I purchased from Akria for the first time a few weeks ago. I am an avid online shopper to my core so I was a little worried at first. BUT I should have not worried at all. Not for an adult

I bought three of these headbands and I was excited but unfortunately these headbands are fit for a child. I bought a headband from last winter. A beautiful black one and I still have it and it got perfect. I don't have a large head of a tiny head. I have a normal size head and these faux fur headbands are not for adults. I throw out the receipt thinking automatically the headbands would fit. So unless you are buying for a child, I don't recommend these headbands for a adult.
