IT - Systems Administrator

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator that can be part of a team looking to pioneer the retail industry by leveraging Technology. This person would be part of a team who is leading AKIRA into a full technological transformation in areas including but not limited Windows, VMware, Lunix and iOS. Your Day-To-Day:

  • Acting as the first point of contact when our customer needs our help
  • Answering incoming calls and emails in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Solving a variety of IT concerns focus on our Point-of-sale system and Music support
  • Resolve Tier 1 and 2 level tickets and escalate to appropriate teams if needed
  • Setup new accounts via Microsoft Office 365 platform for new hires
  • Provide Level I support for hardware and software including workstations, laptops, ipads, tablets, and network printers/copiers
  • Manage all MAC (Move, Add, Change) initiatives including the coordination of technology components. Provide post move support to the internal customers

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively maintain servers, storage, network, virtualization and system applications ensuring high availability and acceptable performance levels of mission critical systems
  • Maintain, monitor, and support WANs, LANs, VLANs, VPNs and Wireless Systems
  • Maintain, monitor, and support VOIP and telecommunications systems
  • Analyze, resolve, and document incidents
  • Administer, maintain, and monitor system backups
  • Manage and maintain MDM Solution (Apple iOS)
  • Patch management of OS, applications and network devices
  • Monitor and respond to requests received through the Helpdesk ticketing system in a timely manner
  • Perform regular audit of critical tasks and processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and system issues, coordinate and collaborate with appropriate personnel within or outside the organization, documentation of problems and resolutions
  • Effectively communicate and work with every level of employee from general end users to high level managers and principals as well as customers and vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Management/troubleshooting of AV equipment, including but not limited to audio, video, lighting, computer networking systems and hardware both in-house and client systems

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems and networking administration role required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System or other related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, VMWare, O365/M365, Azure, Linux, backup and replication platforms (such as Azure), Group Policy and security concepts
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Fortinet and Cisco switches and routers as well as various networking protocols. Certifications preferred
  • Experience with managing ShoreTel or other VOIP phone Experience with Disaster Recovery planning, testing and implementation
  • Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations
