Online Return Policy

How long do I have to make a return?
If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, full-price item(s) may be returned (postmarked by the carrier) within 30 days of the order date for a refund to the original form of payment less the original shipping & handling fees.  Please note that there is a fee of $10.00 when using our return label which will be deducted from the total refund. You can generate a prepaid return label HERE. We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer to generate and print your return label. 

Item(s) must be returned in original condition (unworn, unwashed, unaltered) with the tags attached. Shoes must be returned in their original shoe box. Do not adhere the return label to the original shoe box. Instead, please make sure to use another form of packaging to send back the shoes.

For all returns that meet our policy requirements you will be refunded to the original form of payment. Purchases made using a gift card, or store credit will be refunded as a store credit. If the card is no longer available to refund to, a store credit will be issued.

Items that are stated as Final Sale cannot be refunded. Promotions that are deemed final sale, are also non-refundable.  Under special circumstances, we may make an exception to return in the form of store credit. All final sale returns will assess a 20% restocking fee as well as anyhing deemed "unsellable" 

Do I have to pay the return shipping?

There is a fee of  $10.00 when using our return label which will be deducted from the total refund. You can generate a prepaid return label HERE. It's important to note that using our label does not insure your return. If you choose not to use our label for your product, you may create your own label. However, it is important to note that you will be responsible for tracking and ensuring the accuracy of the information on your label. Before sending back an item, it's a good idea to check with the shipping carrier to see if insurance is available and if it's recommended. Additionally, it's a good practice to keep records of the return shipment and any tracking information in case any issues arise. We are not responsible for packages mailed to us and we do not reimburse for out-of-pocket shipping costs.

How do I get refunded if I paid with a gift code/card?
Purchases made with a gift code will be refunded back as store credit to your shopAKIRA.com account. Store credit can be used both in-store and online. 

How long does it take to get a refund?
Please allow up to 2 weeks (14 business days) from your return delivery date for your return to be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your return and refund have been completed. Please note only FULL PRICE product that meets the above criteria will be refunded to original form of payment, anything else will be issued back in the form of store credit and may assess a restocking fee.

Can online purchases be returned in-store?
Full-price purchases made on shopAKIRA.com may be brought back to any of our store locations for store credit or exchange only. In-store returns are not refunded back to the original form of payment. Please make sure you bring the invoice included with your order or a copy of the order confirmation email to receive a store credit or exchange. 

The item(s) must be new and unworn with original tags and within 30 days of the order date. Shoes must be unworn and in the original shoe box. Items marked “final sale” may not be returned.

Am I able to exchange my item(s)?
Currently, there isn’t an option to exchange online purchases. You may ship back your original full-price item(s) within 30 days of the order date for a refund, and can then place a new order for the correct size or color. If you’re local to one of our AKIRA locations, you may exchange your full-price item(s) in store or return for store credit.

Can I return "Final Sale" items?
Any merchandise marked or specified as “final sale” may not be returned. This also applies to items discounted using promotion codes with a “final sale” disclaimer. Earrings, fashion face covers, fashion or styling body tape, and gift certificates/cards are considered "final sale" and are not returnable. 

*All other jewelry items (aside from earrings which are final sale) must be returned in their original bag and cardboard backing, and unworn.  

Please wear undergarments when trying on bodysuits. Bodysuits are returnable as long as they are unworn, unwashed, and with the original tags still attached. 

A 20% restocking fee will be applied to your refund if an exception is made and issued in the form of store credit. 


I paid for part of my order with store credit/rewards dollars. How will I get my refund?
If a purchase is made entirely with store credit, our team will process the return and issue a store credit in the refund amount back to your shopAKIRA.com account.
If the order was purchased with partial store credit/another payment method, we will issue store credit for the refund first, and any remaining balance will be refunded back to the original form of payment.

International Return Policy
Returns are accepted on full-price merchandise that is shipped back within 30 days of the delivery date. Your refund will be processed in U.S. dollars, and your credit card company will exchange the currency. AKIRA is not responsible for costs associated with shipping, customers, and taxes & duties. For specific information regarding customs policies and fees, please contact your local customs office.
